anyway machan creating a quick web app with C++ is pain in ass. does not worth the trouble. those languages coexists because they serve different purposes. otherwise they should die like some other languages.
True everything boils down to C and C++ in most of the cases. but that does not mean it is the god language. then even C/C++ boils further down.

respect other languages. I work mainly with java now. But I started with pascal and C. I have some work done with php at uni. they all have their own value.

thumbs up i would say C is better way way when it comes to performance and flexibility. and FORTRAN is also a strong language which still used in scientific areas for complex mathematical stuff but not use for software industry that much.

I have learned and did C so much with VI editor like geeks but at industry we are developing business apps so we use c#.Net with Visual Studio which damn easy and that's what client required.

People should be punished for developing new business apps in C++ unless it's really really necessary As a language c++ really sucks. STL gives you lot of headaches. Most code written in c++ are un-maintainable nightmares. Most developers write horrible code, specially when it's come to OOP. C# and java are good languages for many projects, they just get the job done.
