A person who is educated in the public school must be costing more than 25k per year(in early 90s it was 6k) So not only the people who went to uni but all have spent govt money (aprox 25k X12) If they can go abroad why cant a graduate doctor , engineer etc go abroad.
Most of them send remittances of substantial amount and we cloud waste money like what is doing by govt is because of massive remittances received for a month.
So, by going abroad not only we get foreign currency but we also get publicity for our knowledge economy in the world. See India the Microsoft CEO is an Indian. There are quite a lot of sri lankans who are doing well, only issue is they may opt to invest in other countries due to political and other factors.
So, we should attract their investment in SL with proper policies. But this applies to top earners. Average professional always come back to sl and thus invest in sri lanka. We should not only be proud of them but heavily indebted to them. We could not have won the war without the remittances and still continue to pay for war expences because of this.
In America when the independence war was over massive taxes were slaped on the people. but we did not experience such because of remittances from abroad.
So, try to understand the macro economic realities before making popular statements, due to jealousy

This is what I was trying to prove here bro....some people blame graduates just because those graduates have the option of migrating abroad...but what those hypocrite people simply don't understand is that they have also spent 13 years studying in government schools which were funded by tax payers' money...but they simply blame Doctors,Engineers just because these graduates studied further with tax payers' money...

But those graduates are adluts who can decide for them selves. So why we need to spoon feed them further like children with taxpayers money. At least these graduates should learn the value of money and hardwork. They should atleast repay their debt before thinking about themselves.

Yes.. not every one go abroad.... but almost every one who works in Sri Lanka likes to go abroad for a job.

But the thing is they forget who payed them for their education and why.

I do not have any issue with them going abroad but what is really distressing is that these same doctors and some engineers (Engineers are some what ok comparing with Doctors) objecting with people spending there own money on their education.
