commercial Pilot through Military?
You cant becoz it should be commercial
thanks for ur advices broyou should have minimum qualification of OLs and ALs then you should ve the eligibility of passing aviation medical test which is conducted by civil aviation authority of SL. you can check out more information on their official web site or you can visit their office in close to gangarama temple.
right , if you wanna be a commercial pilot licence,
you have to find a privet aviation school in your home or overseas.. you might need some reasonable amount of money for this i cant exactly say the cost beacuse you can find many aviation acadamies in different price ranges. i prefer you to go for the best school which offers more flying hours.
1st thing you ve to get your first licence , its called PPL personal pilot licence its about 50 flying hours i guess.
you ll ve to pass the both written and practical exams to receive silver wing/ppl licence.
then after you ve the capable of applying to Commercial pilot licence i think its almost 150 flying hours both single and multi engine aircraft.
then you have the same thing ,you did for ppl written and practical exams.
after all you will be received the gold wing/ppl licence.
now all you need to do is building up your flying hours. you need at least 275 flying hour for applying for your national airline in srilanka.
note- if you would do your licence in US #we call that FAA licence#you will ve to do all the exams in srilanka whichs conducted by civil aviation authority of sl. if you would do this on Uk or SL you dont need to do that exams again.
being a fighter pilot is totally different from the job you do as a CPL pilot , you ve technically advanced, high maneuverable machines , and also you will be trained to eject form the cockpit in a crash. with that type of mind you wont be allowed to being commercial pilot. you ve only traind for military perpose but in SL most of the airforce pilots join with commercial airlines after 15years of bond with SLAF.
but if you would choose transport or passenger aircraft to fly in your airforce career it doesnt matter at all.
my congratulations for your flying career!!!

thanks for ur advices bro

no macho u cant..
but i dont recon these local aviation institutes also..
if u can spend some more go abroad..
and learn from there.
coz u can learn from here (about the new technology)
but would u be able to touch one of that in SL bro..
(only through simulators)
but the real thing is far different from those things..
so better go for a good school
@ those days 2004 local license courses were 14-20 lks
but i got to know we can obtain our liecence over there for free in return we have to give 10 years of service
r u a pilot bro?
Do not try to become a pilot while studying in Sri Lanka. Go to USA. That is the best and more viable option you have.
