Civic EK3 Vi RS crash

A 24-year-old girl was killed and four others were injured when the car they were traveling crashed into railings of the Wanawasala Bridge along the Colombo-Kandy Road this morning.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said the victim was a final year student of the Sri Jayewardenepura University and from Uda Peradeniya area in Kandy.

She was on her way to the Jayewardenepura University when the accident happened.

The injured were said to be the family members of the victim. Two of them suffered serious injuries.
