Ubisoft accidentally borks Assassin's Creed Unity Xbox One update
It is in fact re-downloading the ENTIRE GAME
Xbox One owners looking forward to the latest 6.7GB Assassin's Creed Unity patch are in for a of a surprise. It's a surprise that is possibly more horrifying than the missing faces, terrifying ragdolling, or any of the other bugs that have plagued the game since launch.
Because of "an issue with the patch downloading process", Xbox One owners are instead watching the entire game download, whether they want it or not.
The admission was made on Ubi's official blog, though the company apologises not for wasting bandwidth, but rather forcing players to have to wait to get back into the game.
Ubisoft has, however, pointed out a workaround. If you want to stop the process, you could uninstall the game, reinstall it, and then the correct patch should download by itself.
