PHP CodeIgniter/Bootstrap Website developer/Designer Required

We are a startup home based web developer team and we use latest technology of php.

All website developments carried through Codeigniter latest framework and for UI design, we use Twitter Bootstrap. With the current market trends we decided to apply mobile responsive for all of our future developments.

So now we are looking to expand our service by giving another chance to a php developer.

Skills Required:
01. Experience with Bootstrap custom UI design (Proven examples are required)

01-1. Proper understanding about MVC architecture and MySQL databases

02. PHP Codeigniter experience is a + Point (Please provide links to see your development experience with codeigniter - mention projects is a group or a individual )

03. Photoshop CS5 or any other webdesign related skills
04. Experience with paypal/ payment gateway integration will be a added advantage.
05. Good knowledge in English

Don't act like you're the perfect guy dude Typos are not serious mistakes in a forum, specially a forum like elakiri, where most of the people are from Sri lanka..

Also, tell me, if you say CI sucks, have you ever developed any framework better than CI which is being used by many thousands or maybe millions of developers around the world? Staying behind a computer and saying CI sucks doesn't really make sense unless you prove it.

If it really sucks, people would have never spent their time developing the framework / using it / learning it. This is the second time I noticed you're giving pora talks and silently leave the place. I know you know something, but always remember, none of us are perfect..So think before you reply again. Do not try to pull down others.

Maybe you're a good developer, but never look down on others. Instead learn how to improve yourself. Learn to appreciate if someone is trying to do something good.

Code Igniter sucking or not is my opinion. Everything I say is my opinion. Take it or let it go is your decision.

I have used CI countless times and I still do. It sucks because it's out dated. Have you been to any PHPConfs? There's one on Sept 22 in SG if you'd like to attend. Go and see how advanced the latest PHP is. Those who still promotes the old shit are setting everyone back.

About the typo: do you even read what I said to Chamath? His site, read: his bloody own site has the typo. Multiple times. I don't care how he takes it, but I was helping him to fix it. Not to show my ass off.

Laravel, Symfony, you name it.
CI is old, and almost every appraisal you see is 2010 or older.

Sri Lanka is a country with majority of insitutions teaching mysql_ functions so no wonder there.

I maintain the Drupal Sri Lankan and Sinhalese group, and I have my fair share of contributions, collaborations with PHP too.
I get to criticize the code others write every day, and the frameworks make the difference too. Wordpress is a shitty framework (that again is my opinion) while better frameworks do change the people too. Criticizing a framework is my will and you can criticize me back. If you do, I'm all years. But you've got to listen how I reply too.

I was rather referring to the fact that u mentioned about CI, saying it sucks, without giving a proper reason...and that's what really drove me crazy (not because u blamed the framework, I'm not a fan of CI).

But that guy said they are using the latest technology like CI, and u jumped and said, "CI sucks"..I was like...what was that? It gives a bad impression about that guy...

there may be some fellows who are really interested in applying for the job. and when you say something like that, they will get disappointed too.

Cannot agree with ur opinions machan. Don't try to tell "Wordpress is a shitty framework". Every thing has bugs, fixes, Performance Issues. If you try to give your opinions like this, just re-think about your self again.

The comments you placed on my invitation shows us that you are just a programmer. we don't expect such opinions about CI by giving a wrong idea about the technology to the people who see this. And its not only damaged to us, also its damaged the thousands of developers who contributed for the CI and Bootstrap. As a programmer you should first learn how to appreciate others work by giving them a credit.

If you try to say CI sucks because of its too old, and almost every appraisal you see is 2010 or older. . that is wrong. When its become too old its might gets too powerful and more reliable.. maybe it will replaced by another technology. yes of course there are other better framework like YII and few other in the lead than CI. but that doesn't mean CI is old and sucks.

These are just words to highlight your professionalism. but looking at your website and drupal profile you need some more to think about your self.
We are trying to help someone else to give a chance, get some more experience and extra income.

CI is outdated guys, although it was one of my favorite PHP framework .

Try Laravel, Symfony as mentioned above by Ayeshlive.

Personally I think Laravel is the future of PHP frameworks or at least the turning point.

These are just words to highlight your professionalism. but looking at your website and drupal profile you need some more to think about your self.
We are trying to help someone else to give a chance, get some more experience and extra income.

I wasn't looking for a job opportunity in first place. I already have a great job and in just wandering around.
Pirating Wordpress themes, selling GPL-released code derivative work without original source, etc sound similar to you? Don't talk to me about giving the credit where it's due. I have put projects that suck and I welcome critics. Even if they get called they suck.

You can't just turn down that CI had no good development for a couple years and it has just started recently. Mature software is not same as deprecated abandoned software. Don't be biased and accept what they are.

While we are at the subject of personal web sites, how about you PM me your web site and some OS contributions? I have a few contacts who might be interested (not myself obviously).

Programming war. I have used CI, YII but nothing beats laravel in terms of functions. I love the eloquent models, facades. Still, I don't understand what CI models do. Lumen is a micro-framework by Laravel. You might wanna try that.
