Australia State Sponsorships

Hi all,

I am a software engineer and did IELTS with Overall 8, with more than 7 in each section. ACS skill assessment is successfully done. I have a total of 55 points (excluding 5 from state sponsorships) and applied for New South Wales and South Australia for state sponsorships via Australian migration center..... Is there anyone here who got sponsorships and moved forward with VISA?

how did you get 8..where did you go for classes??

how can you have only 55 marks with ielts 8 ?
are you older than 40 years ?

For state sponsorship as far as I know, they are concerned about
your education + related work experience + age

if you have less than 3 years work experience, most probably you won't get.
older than 40 years also a minus point

with ielts 8, if you still have 55 marks, you probably got a big minus point in your application.

And software engineers are not much in demand there

Its Overall 8, not in each section, so that I will be getting only 10 marks

I did self studies and IELTS section of the British council library was very helpful for me. Get the membership (annual cost would be Rs.2500 for Diamond package) and they have vast no of IELTS resources

Yes, 6 in each is the minimum required. But for that no points will be given
