Rainbow Six: Siege beta extended until October 1

Ubisoft has extended the beta for first-person shooter Rainbow Six: Siege. The closed beta for Rainbow Six: Siege has been extended three days to October 1.Ubisoft took the decision after problems with the game’s technical test, where some players have been unable to connect to matches.

“The good news is that for those who have received their access, the experience has been trending positively,” said the development team.“We’ve been getting good feedback on the content of the beta, and matchmaking and server stability have already been improved.

“There are still a few issues to work out, of course, and we will continue to do that over the course of the beta. Given the current situation, we’ve made the decision to extend the Closed Beta by 3 days. It will run through Thursday, October 1st.”The developer is in the process of distributing more codes, and codes for pre-order customers have all gone out, it said.

    LKBLeis.jpg

Call of Duty: Black Ops III for older generation consoles will not come with the same features as the current-gen versions of the game.According to the Call of Duty blog, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops III will not come with a single player campaign.

“The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware,” Activision posted on the blog.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will still have the full-featured multiplayer mode that includes the momentum-based movement system and Specialist classes. In addition, players will still have access to Shadows of Evil, Black Ops III’s new Zombies mode, which features an adventure inspired by 1940s film-noir.Activision also noted in the blog that Weapon Paint Shop and the eSports tools for Black Ops III will only be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III launches on November 6. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be available for $50 USD and will include a download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops in some regions. In related Call of Duty: Black Ops III news, a new Black Ops III PlayStation 4 bundle featuring a black and orange design on the console and controller was recently revealed and is available for pre-order.

:cool:Rise of the Tomb Raider will take around 15-20 hours to finish

    2d7cxzm.jpg

Rise of the Tomb Raider is around 20-hours long, but that’s not nearly enough time to get everything done.

Rise of the Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has discussed the game’s length in a new interview, confirming that it will take around 15 to 20 hours to finish the main campaign.

Speaking to Pixel Vulture, the game’s lead designer Mike Brinker said those 20 hours or so won’t allow you to see and do everything.“Expect to spend around 30-40 hours getting everything done. This is gathering every weapons, ability and completing every side quest,” he said.

“It all comes down to how you want to play through the game. Running through the game will take you around 15 – 20 hours.“So expect double the play time collecting everything and exploring every secret tomb. In terms of scale, all our hub spaces, the areas that allow you to explore and choose your own way to play, have been increased by three time the size.”

20 hours for the main campaign is less than many of today’s games, especially those with an open-world setting, but is certainly longer than the 2013 reboot.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is out November 10 on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Warner Bros. is not done with Batman just yet, “possibilities are endless”

The Arkham series of Batman games may be over, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing the caped crusader again.

Warner Bros. is not completely done with Batman. The publisher isn’t sharing details of what lies in the character’s future when it comes to games, but the Arkham series certainly won’t be the last.

“Batman is one of the cornerstone IPs for Warner Bros. With the Arkham series, we were finally able to realize the full potential of the character,” Ames Kirshen, vice president of product development for the Arkham and DC Comics games at Warner Bros. told the PS Blog.Kirshen sure knows something we don’t though. “We don’t have anything to talk about at this time, but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman,” he adds.

In fact, Batman isn’t the only DC character being considered for games, according to Kirshen. “When choosing what DC Entertainment IP we might focus on for any game, it boils down to honing in on the IPs that map the strongest, genre-wise, to what fans are interested in seeing and playing.
“From there, it’s about getting the development studios with the strongest passion for those IPs to make the games.

It can be hard to choose what to focus on.”Arkham Knight came out back in June and continues to get new DLC.

:frown::baffled:Rainbow Six: Siege doesn’t have a story campaign

Rainbow Six: Siege is all about multiplayer, although you can play alone against bots if you want to.

Rainbow Six: Siege won’t bring back the campaign experience of previous games in the series.“There is no story mode per se,” art director Scott Mitchell told PCGamesN at EGX.

“You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps.”
As well as serving as a training ground, this single-player experience contributes to overall progression, so you’ll be unlocking new content for use in the core multiplayer game.

Ubisoft has been promoting the heck out of Rainbow Six: Siege as a purely competitive title, so perhaps this news isn’t too surprising.Rainbow Six: Siege launches on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 1.
