    well this makes sense.:)

will check later buddy :P at work now.

    just a side story..
a muslim guy working with me gave me a Quran the other day. i think he's of the view that he can convert me into islam cuz i don't have a religion.. he thinks it's easier to convert an atheist into islam than someone already with a faith, cuz you know first you have to break that guy free of his religion and pump in islamic shit.. I got his work cut out by half by not having a religion in the first place.
    poor mother fucker

:):) for some people simply having faith is not enough, they want rest of the world to share their faith as well..they will never know the meanings of words such as 'independence', 'freedom' ..people think freedom means living in democracy..I think what it truly means is being free from worldly ideas such as religions.

discussing philosophy or religion with people who's got true faith in any religion (may they be buddhist, muslim or catholic) is equally dull..they will never see things with their own eyes :dull::dull:

When you look at a lot of creatures such as zebras , turtles , butterflies , bees , lady bugs , leopards ,etc you will notice amazing color patters drawn onto them.Who drew those? Does nature have a “taste” in colors , and does it know which colors go together nicely? Does it know how to draw geometric and beautiful shapes ?

Dude... Are you serious? out of all the questions you had this?

hey twisty did you watch the video i shared?
    Feynman's view on religion?

Yeah, I did..he seems to have a clear idea on the great mystery..I'd say his view is the one to adopt if we wanna live with a clear mind that is not wavered by what is preached to us.

Religions are sort of there I guess to keep people from losing their minds. whoever said if there wasn't a God in the first place, we'd have invented him, I think is right.

not sure why many of us are afraid of not knowing answers. but isn't it enough that we are alive and have certain ways of rationalizing what is given to us on our own?

I wouldn't call them dumb people though.

To have something to believe in given all the doubts, questions we are presented with, is really necessary.

universe is too big and so are our imaginations, so I guess it's obvious that people feel sort of lost since they cannot reconcile the things they feel with what they see :)

if you believe in buddhism, you know why somethings happen the way they happen in that certain context. But if you didn't have religion, you wouldn't know why somethings happen in some certain ways, things which to your rational mind seem too unfair :dull:
