අලෙවි මවුලානා කළුරිය කරයි

හිටපු ආණ්ඩුකාරවරයකු හා හිටපු ඇමැතිවරයකු වූ අලෙවි මවුලානා මහතා අද (15) පස්වරුවේ අභාවප්‍රාප්ත විය.
මිය යන විට ඒ මහතා 84 වැනි වියේ පසුවිය.
1932 වසරේ ජනවාරි 1 වැනිදා උපත ලද මවුලානා මහතා කම්කරු හා වෘත්තීය සමිති නායකයකු ලෙස සුවිසල් කාර්ය භාරයක් ඉටු කළේය.
බස්නාහිර පළාතේ පස්වැනි ආණ්ඩුකාරවරයා ලෙස කටයුතු කළ අලෙවි මවුලානා මහතා වෙළඳ වෘත්තීය සමිති හරහා 1948 දී දේශපාලනයට පිවිසියේය. 1956 වසරේදී ඔහු ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂයේ සාමාජිකත්වය ලබාගත් අතර චන්ද්‍රිකා බණ්ඩාරනායක රජයේ කම්කරු අමාත්‍යරයා ලෙස ද කටයුතු කළේය. ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂයේ උප සභාපති හා නිදහස් සේවක සංගමයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ උප සභාපති ලෙසද මවුලානා මහතා කටයුතු කළේය.
හිටපු ජනපතිනි චන්ද්‍රිකා බණ්ඩාරනායක කුමාරතුංග මහත්මියගේ මුස්ලිම් කටයුතු උපදේශකවරයා ලෙසද කටයුතු කළ අලෙවි මවුලානා මහතා 2009 වසරේදී සබරගමුව වැඩ බලන ආණ්ඩුකාරවරයා ද විය.

Seyed Ahmed Seyed Alavi Moulana (born 1 January 1932) was the 5th Governor of Western Province, having assumed office on 1 February 2002. Entering politics in 1948as a Trade Unionist, Moulana is a veteran Sri Lankan politician and leader. He is a member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, he was Cabinet Minister of Labour, and a Councilor in the Colombo Municipal Council. He is the Senior Vice-President of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and is also a social and religious worker. He also served as acting Governor for Sabaragamuwa in 2009

Moulana has received many national and international awards for decades of service to trade unionism. He has received National awards by former President Chandrika Kumaratunga for more than 45 years of service rendered for the Trade Union movement in Sri Lanka. He has also received several Vishvaprasadini and National and International awards as member of the World Federation of Trade Unions. Moulana has represented Sri Lanka in several seminars of the Trade Union throughout the World, and in 2001 was appointed as the Chairman of the Asia Pacific Region of the International Labour Organization (ILO) for a period of three years, which was proposed by China and seconded by India.
