Best engine oil for a 95,000Km FB15

Any recommendations, I prefer Mobil. But should it be 15W40 or 10W40 or 15W30 or etc...???

Currently it has Caltex SAE40, i need to change to Mobil.

Btw.. this Manual FB15, 1500cc does only 8Kmpl!

ENGINE OIL

Try to use a thicker oil. If you can't find a suitable oil, try mixing SAE75 or higher gear oil with ordinary engine oil (SAE 20-50) and get some oil pressure build up. Best option is get rid of your vehicle . Second option is overhaul your engine.

If your FB15 is manual transmission, there should be a more fuel consumption than this. Normally it does 9-10 Kmpl with traffic ride and for the long Distance it should be 12-14 kmpl with Air Condition. I have the same baby with me and it does 9 kmpl in traffic time and long distance more than 14 kmpl. I can remember once it has done 16.69 KMPL

However you can tune up your vehicle and check the efficacies
do the Complete EFI Tuning , Change the Spark Plug , Change the air filter , first of all do the complete service

most of the time , fuel consumption is depend on the driving habits and skills

මචන්. තාම 95000ක් නේ දුවල තියන්නේ. ඒ නිසා oil viscosity එක වෙනස් කරන්න ඕන වෙන එකක් නෑ. මෙන්න මේ ටික කරන්න.
1. Engine Flush එකක් දාන්න. (Liqui Moly වගේ) - මේක දාන්නේ oil මාරු කරන්න විනාඩි 10කට විතර කලින්. ඊට පස්සේ විනාඩි 10ක් IDLE තියලා oil drain කරන්න.
2. මේ ලංකාව නිසා multi grade oil දාන්නම ඕන කියලා එකක් නෑ. එත් සෙමි synthetic එකක් වත් දාන්න පුලුවන්නම් හොඳයි. Mobil 2000 වගේ. හැබැයි 40 වලට වඩා ඒවා දැම්ම දාන්න එපා. 0w, 10w, ගැන වැඩිය හිතන්න එපා.
3. අලුත් oil එක දාපු ගාන මැනලා ලියලා තියාගන්න. කිලෝමීටර් 1000 න් දාහට වගේ oil ලෙවෙල් එක බලන්න.
4. oil ලෙවෙල් එක අඩුවෙන්නේ නැත්නම්, 3000-4000km oil එක අව්ලක් නැතුව තියනවනම් engine එක ගෙවිලා වෙන්න බෑ. ඒ නිසා ගනකම් oil එකක් දාන්න ඔනෑ නෑ.
5. මන් දන්නා විදියට මුලින් ආපු FB15 එකේ sensor fault එකක් තිබ්බ. ඒකම n16 එකෙත් ආවා. අවුල තිබ්බේ Air Flow Sensor එකේ වගේ මට මතක. ලංකාවට brand new ආපු එකක් නම් ඕක හදලා ඇති. recondition නම් sure නෑ. හොඳම දේ amw දාලා බලන එක.
6. 95,000 දුවලා නිසා, පුළුවන් නම් ebay එකෙන් O2 sensors දෙක ගෙනල්ල replace කරලා දාන්න.

මගෙ තියෙන්නෙ B14 එකක්. කලින් toyota 10w30 දැම්ම.

මේකනම් මම recommend කරන්නේ නැත.
හත් අවුරුද්දකින් විතර ඔයිල් මාරු කරල නැත්තන් විතරක් flush කරපන්. නැත්නම් කරන්න එපා. හොඳ එන්ජිමක් flush කිරීමේදී වාසි වලට වඩා අවාසි වැඩියි.
flush එක හෙන සැරයි. gasket, rubber components damage වෙන්න පුළුවන්.
