Here's the story of Japanese patient.
My life is back to normal !Depression is completely cured ! My experience at MANASA hospital Sri Lanka
Mr .Y from Japan.....,
So I have been in Sri Lanka for close to two months now, receiving ayurvedic medical treatments everyday. You may ask why Sri Lanka, and why the period of two months.
You see, I have been suffering, struggling, and fighting from and against severe depression for several years now, going to a mental clinic and taking the prescribed western medicines for over three and a half years. I saw some improvements but for the past one year the treatment wasn't going anywhere. It seemed like it was getting worse. Loss of appetite, loss of memory, sleeping disorders, shaky body, isolated in the room for weeks, not taking shower or brushing teeth, thoughts of suicide, etc ... You name it! I was feeling miserable all the time, and I had my share of living-in-hell experiences that those who suffer from depression go through! So I know exactly how it feels because I've been there and I am still facing that ghost daily!
Then I had an opportunity to get to know this ayurveda hospital in Sri Lanka through our friend. I had been trying the western treatment so far, so Kiki my wife and I thought why not give eastern ayurvedic treatment a chance as well? It requires some money of course, but we were so desperate! As we had consulted the ayurveda doctor about my current symptoms through internet, he had advised us to stay in the hospital for the period of two months to get rid of the influence of the western medicine and to get the complete healing through ayurvedic treatment as well. Kiki came along with me to take care of me during my stay in Sri Lanka. (She is fine. She is the healthy one, or as the doctor says, "she's almost OK"! (^-^) She's been receiving the treatment with me as well just to take care of the stress that had been accumulated on her from nursing me over the years!)
Relocating to an isolated new environment, receiving well-diagnosed ayurvedic treatments and medicinal herbal foods, relaxation, and having an open mind to accept all what's happening here in the hospital! Whereas I have been receiving different kinds of ayurvedic herbal treatments, massages, acupuncture, and herbal medicines that the doctor had prescribed while cutting down on the western medication little by little alongside.
At first the doctor took my pulse at wrist, and believe me he could tell a lot about what is happening in my body: what's wrong with me, what type of body I have (heaty, cold, etc.), and what kind of treatment is needed! Taking the pulse is the first step and the key for the treatment! He even told me he can tell whether the baby will be a boy or a girl through checking the pregnant woman's pulse! Can you believe that? I am just astonished! And you know what? As it turned out, the treatment has been working just fine on me! It may sound tacky and doubtful, but I'm almost completely off the hook from taking any western or ayurvedic medicines! The doctor said it usually takes six months to be completely off the medication, and amazingly it is taking me just two months to come this far! The doctor himself was surprised and pleased to see my improvement in such a short period of time, too! It's too bad that I have to return to Japan before getting off the medication completely!
Yes, like you, I have been very skeptic about all of this myself at first, but hey, whether I accept the fact or not I am the living proof of all this after all! I will soon be able to say goodbye completely to the western medicines that I had been taking three meals a day for the past three and half years! And I have no symptoms of depression that had been making me so miserable for years either! I don't know how it worked or why it worked, but I know it did. I am looking forward reporting to my psychiatrist about this when I get back to Japan! I will be taking with me some backup herbal medicines just in case I suppose, but I am feeling and doing unbelievably much better now!
The goal of ayurveda is for us to spend a balanced healthy life for as long as we can without depending on any medications or any toxic lifestyle! You can tell I'm getting much better just by looking at my eyes if you compare with those from the past! Again, I am so relieved to know that I will not need to depend on the western medicine for my depression!
Some of you may think that ayurveda is an esthetics, but no, it actually is a medical treatment that requires at least a week to a month of hospitalization depending on your condition! When we're accustomed to the use of western medical treatment, we may become skeptic about eastern medical treatment such as ayurveda. But it's all because we don't know anything about it! Just because the western world has failed to prove its effectiveness by so-called science, that doesn't mean it doesn't work! Just give it a shot and you will be awed to the results! By the way, the doctor had treated my high blood pressure, liver, and rather high sugar level at the same time as well, and they are now within the acceptable level, too! It is interesting to note that according to my doctor the western medications for depression tend to affect my liver and blood pressure, and that may be one of the reasons why the numbers were not so good on them. Yes, I know I may still experience some emotional ups and downs in Japan where the toxic environment awaits us. And I know the cure for the depression does not happen overnight and the life is not that simple either, but it is a good start anyway! I am just so thrilled that I can start spending a normal life again even if it meant in the baby steps!
So here it is, our dear friends! Thank you for watching my struggles and recovery on FB! (Well, I guess I didn't show much of my struggles on FB. But you know it's a SNS thing!!*\(^o^)/*). Thank you for reading this comment, too!
I would also like to thank the doctors and staffs at Mind Ayurvedic Hospital who had shown us their warmest hospitalities and professionalism throughout our stay here! Sri Lankan people had been always kind to us!
Now I have to get back on my diet to lose some pounds that I had gained for eating delicious curry three meals a day everyday here in Sri Lanka!
