My view has always been that "the known devil is better than the unknown saint". It proved itself correct in 2015

Sirisena was a known devil as rest of sri lankan politicians. As I have mentioned previously his decision to oppose MR was solely based on his greed for power. But at that point majority of people despised MR regime
to a such a extent that even a "coconut petiole" would have a chance.I( I personally didnt vote for MS eventhough I opposed MR. )

The problem is that it's a blatant lie; how could RH himself be successful as he is if the problem lied solely with the leadership of the country?

He should be advertising the service he did to this country in his current capacity. Then we'll consider giving him a chance over people that have already proved that they're capable of serving the country as leaders, like MR and GR.

Again I cant comprehend what you are trying to tell. RP tells that Sri Lankan people have the DNA or thepotential to regain the past glory but the weak leadership has failed our country. There are successfulpeople who are the leaders of their own enterprises but as a country we have failed. It isjust like our cricket team under chandi and hathuru.

Most people turned to the MS for the most part to abolish the executive presidency and punish some crooks in MR government. They didn't expect MS to continue to hold on to power. The clever trick was that MS eroded some percentage of SLFP disgruntled vote from MR. No other Coconut petiole could have done that.

Majority despised MR regime but not MR. My main complaint regarding MR regime was how it threatened the rule of law. If MR was not defeated at that time it could have led to a future where just physically bumping into a local council member could have written death certificate for us. What went wrong was the choice being an another greedy politician without any principle of his own.

And you are a nice guy to have chat regarding movies and entertainment etc. but over the years I have learnt not to debate on political maters with you.
