Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Star Control: Origins & Strange Brigade free to those who purchase AMD’s GPUs

    hdfqidT.jpg

AMD has announced a new bundle for its latest graphics cards; AMD RX Vega, RX 580 and RX 570. These new bundles come with free copies for three upcoming games and these are Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Star Control: Origins and Strange Brigade.

It’s a pretty cool offer, especially if you are interested in any of these games (and of course are looking into upgrading to a newer graphics card). On the other hand, I don’t really know if it is wise to use an AMD graphics card for a game like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

For comparison purposes, both Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Origins perform better on NVIDIA’s hardware in case you’re using a mid-tier CPU. Both of these games require a powerful CPU and AMD’s lacklustre DX11 drivers come with an additional CPU performance hit. On the other hand, those with really high-end CPUs will not notice any performance degradations as they will be able to overcome the additional DX11 CPU overhead with the sheer raw power of their CPUs.

Not only that, but NVIDIA may soon release its new high-end graphics cards so yeah… we are not pretty sure if you should invest on an AMD GPU right now. But then again, the choice is yours!
