He stepped into ICC no.1 ranking for firs time in 2008 or 2009. Above ranking list should be atleast in 2014. So your arguement is invalid. Moreover he wasnt even given farewell match. I personally think he sill had some cricket left in him when he was removed from the squad.Given the state of our death bowling he may sill not be a bad choice.
