EA may release remasters of the first Command & Conquer games, wants to bring the franchise back to PC

    JewWD4Y.jpg

Jim Vessella, Producer at Electronic Arts, has revealed that Electronic Arts may release some remaster versions of the first Command & Conquer games. Moreover, and after the huge backlash regarding Command & Conquer: Rivals, EA appears to be willing to bring the franchise back to the PC with a new entry.

    As Vessella said:
“As most of you may know, we recently announced Command & Conquer: Rivals, a mobile game set in the Command & Conquer universe. Following the reveal of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the Command & Conquer community also wants to see the franchise return to PC. And as a fan of C&C for over 20 years, I couldn’t agree more. With that in mind we’ve been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games, and already have the ball rolling on our first effort to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary.”
Vessella claimed that over the next few weeks they will be talking to fans in a variety of ways, stating that they are eager to hear fans’ feedback to help influence their current thoughts for PC and what comes next.

I’m pretty sure that we can all agree that EA needs to avoid using microtransactions in this possible new entry of Command & Conquer, stay true to its real-time strategy nature (stay away from the LoL or Ground Control influences), offer a compelling story, and feature both a single-player and multi-player modes.

So yeah, these are some crucial things that EA needs to follow, otherwise most Command & Conquer fans – and PC gamers in general – won’t be bothered with this new C&C entry.

Hitman 2 will feature a multiplayer mode called Ghost Mode

    1Fa2Iat.jpg

Warner Bros and IO Interactive today announced the addition of competitive multiplayer for HITMAN 2. As the press release reads, Ghost Mode is a unique and brand-new take on 1-versus-1 online competition, putting players’ assassination skills to the ultimate test.

Ghost Mode will allow two players to compete against each other online, both as Agent 47, to assassinate the most targets in a match. At the start of each round, both players begin side-by-side and must race to take out the same targets faster and cleaner than their opponent, while utilizing weapons, items, outfits and ghost crate supply drops along the way to help accomplish the overall mission.

The unique twist with Ghost Mode in HITMAN 2 is that players will simultaneously hunt targets while in the same location and can see a “ghost” version of their rival gamer to track progress against their own, but they exist in separate realities unaffected by the actions of their adversary. In Ghost Mode, the player who can outsmart, outplay and outkill their opponent by eliminating five targets first, will declare victory.

In order to celebrate this announcement, Warner Bros released a new trailer dedicated to this multiplayer mode that you can find below!
