Listen from Minute 36.54 to 37.30 a comment Lee Kuan Yew had made referring to the sad plight of Sri Lanka voter behavior, which he had observed even in 1980. What an extraordinary man!!!

That is how exactly Sri Lankan voters changed the then govt in Jan 2015 just for a change without a proper plan for progression.

As he says once a govt is changed you can't change it for next 5 years by which time irreparable damage and loss being done to the country. How true!!!

The example which Lee Kwan Yew took, was the change in the government in 1956 and 1970, when Sri Lankan voters voted for SWRD and Sirimavo.

Both of them did irreparable harm to the country. SWRD was the first politician to get elected by sidelining the Tamils (which eventually led to the 30-year old war). Sirimavo was an uneducated fool who tried to lead the country to become a communist state.

This speech has nothing to do with 2015. Read Lee Kwan Yew's book. You will know.

In 2015 people had no choice but to go for the lesser of two evils ( at least that’s what people thought

agreed with you I strongly believe our people are not fools they knew 100 day programme will not happen. but as you said we had no option. actually we have no option that is why when party choose a candidate it is their responsibility to select a good one.
