Hello Sir i have a little issue to clarify
how long does it take for an act of self defense to become a murder instead ?
(i couldn't get a satisfying answer from anywhere )

you should prove in the court that what has actually happened is a result of an immediate action which has to be taken against a sudden threat that imposes a life threat to you.
You can lead whatever the evidence you have in order to establish that in the court.


Plus, threat is a must there..

lets say you and a friend are walking on a sidewalk and you have a gun, suddenly a maniac jumps across the street and starts stabbing your friend,so if you shoot right now that will be self defense right? but what if you wait 5 mnts or 10 mnts 15 ,,,,, and then shoot? thats the problem im having , so still the jury wont consider time ,only the threat ?

මචන් නිතිය ගෙන කියලාදෙන එකනම් සැහෙන හොදයි .... උබට පින්....

මගේ ප්‍රශ්නය මේකයි... මේ දවස්වල ETI finance එකේ සල්ලි දෙන්නැති ප්‍රස්නයක් තියෙනවා.... ETI කියන්නේ සක්විති, දඩුවම් මුදලාලි වගේ හොරට කරපු ආයතනයක් නොවෙයි (සමහර මිනිස්සු කරුණු නොදෙන කියනවා වෙඩි තණ්හාවට ගිහින් හොරගුහා වල සල්ලි දාල කියලා.. ඒක වැරදියි...) අපිට ප්‍රස්නයක් තියෙනවා මේ විදිහට අනිත් finance companies ටිකත් කට්ටි පැන්නොත් මිනිස්සුන්ට ඉතුරුකරන්න වෙන්නේ රජයේ බැංකු වල පමණයි... මට දෙනගන්න ඕන ETI වගේ එකක් සල්ලි නොදී කල් අරිනවනම් තෙන්පතුකරුවන්ට කරන්න පුළුවන් මොකක්ද? තනි තනි පුද්ගලයන් පොලිසියේ හෝ උසාවියේ නඩු දාන්න ඕනද? නැත්නම් මහා බැංකුව ගෙන විස්වාසකරලා එයාලගේ තීරණයක් එනකන් ඔහේ බලන් ඉන්න ඕනද? මේකේ නීතිමය තත්වය මොකක්ද?
