Trump is aiming next election, and also a Nobel. Pompeo is a warmonger. So they want more which Kim cannot do. US hasn't lifted a single sanction so far despite them destroying nukes at least partially, and Kim is reasonable to refuse anything further.
That's two different things mate. In the short term people want to live where money is, but at the same time they want justice for everyone. Justice and money are two different things which are unfortunately not found in the same place.
Sad truth bro. You're right. But most of the things we use today invented from blood and money they invested from creating chaos in rest of the world. Everyone is for themself only. No matter which country, they only care about themselves.
At the end it only makes worse. Kim have to give up because he is agreed to talk. Trump simply can start a war saying kim is not ready to give up nukes and we tried to talk but no sufficient efforts were made from North Korea for peace. So there goes world's anger to kim and sympothy to Trump.
I think the situation here is a bit different, especially considering the current political atmosphere. Trump wants to get selected for a second term, and sorting out NK will be his ticket. If Trump starts a war with NK it will drag on harming many economies in Asia too, and dragging China into that too which will be the end of Trump's presidential hopes. Contrarily, if Trump is able to sign peace with NK he will be a hero, and he will get the Nobel too.
Kim knows that. Kim knows that under those circumstances he doesn't have to worry much about bending down to all that is asked by the USA.
And also that's the very reason why Trump and even the war monger Pompeo keep on saying that discussions were not bad although no agreement reached.
If this were Trump's second term all this would have been different.
