Control official PC requirements; supports both DX11 & DX12, NVIDIA RTX2080 recommended for RTX
Remedy has revealed the official PC system requirements for its Control via its Epic Games Store page. According to the specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-7500 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD RX580.
Remedy recommends an Intel Core i5-8600K or an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti or an AMD Radeon VII graphics card.
Control will support both DX11 and DX12, and for its RTX/Ray Tracing effects Remedy has listed an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 as the minimum GPU, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 as the recommended GPU (to be honest, I thought that an RTX2080Ti would be the recommended GPU).
Control is powered by the Northlight Engine and Remedy will be using real-time ray tracing for reflections, contact shadows, diffuse global illumination and transparent reflections.
The game is currently scheduled for an August 27th release on the Epic Games Store, and you can find its full PC requirements below.

Codemasters has revealed the official PC requirements for its upcoming racing game, GRID. According to the specs, GRID will support DirectX 12 – like F1 2019 did as the game is powered by the EGO Engine – and will require 100GB of free hard-disk space.

It will be interesting to see whether this new GRID game will be better optimized than DiRT Rally 2. DiRT Rally 2 suffered from some major performance issues, especially on NVIDIA’s hardware at really high resolutions. Surprisingly enough, F1 2019 did not suffer from such issues so it remains to be seen whether GRID will be as good as F1 2019 or as bad as DiRT Rally 2.
