It comes as a Chinese official confirmed a worrying new fact about the deadly coronavirus; infections are taking place through aerosol transmission.
It was previously understood that two main ways the virus transmitted from person to person were:
• Direct transmission: breathing in air close to an infected patient who sneezes or coughs, and
• Contact transmission: when a person touches an object tainted with the virus before infecting themselves by touching their mouth, nose or eyes.

There seems to be no decline in the reported cases in China.
Many believe that in reality China under-reports the Corona deaths with the cause of death recorded as pneumonia. Whether this is true or not is anybody's guess.

In any case there are 1.4 billion people in China. According to the Worldbank reports they have a death rate of 7.2 per 1000.
So the average is around 27,000 normal deaths per day all over in China.
So it's quite easy to conceal Corona deaths among the natural deaths in a large province, if they wanted to.

They have the highest population in the world.... I got 7.2 per 1000 figure from the Worldbank reports on China..
They do state that this figure is an underestimate as remote parts in China, still, births and deaths are still poorly recorded.

Beijing locked down as Wuhan virus continues to spread in China

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — As the Wuhan virus continues to spread across China unabated, Beijing authorities on Sunday evening (Feb. 9) announced that the city is being locked down.

As the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) continues to rage across China, 80 cities have been locked down under "closed-off management" (封閉式管理) measures. On Sunday, Beijing authorities announced an "Epidemic prevention and control notice of strict closed community management" and declared that the city is going under lockdown (封城), reported the Beijing Daily.

According to the announcement, Beijing will strictly implement "closed community management" (小區封閉管理), under which vehicles and personnel from outside a community will not be allowed to enter. Those arriving in Beijing from other areas must report their health status and register their personal information.
