Sorry for the short reply. Partly correct.. China didn't jail the doctors. They took them to police station &made them retract and got a written statement to that effect.
Dr Li Wenliang didn't discover anything. He made an observation that his friends patients were having a disease similar to SARS. To his credit he was right.

China has a fleet of paid misinformation spreaders in social media. Many posts are originated by them.

i find the last point hard to believe. from our experience west is made to profits from misinformation. they dont hesitate to portray any non-liberal country as evil. we have experienced since the last war started. meanwhile china was being realistic and have been helping almost all the wartorn countries to defeat the terrorists when west was busy blaming governments for the attacks done by terrorists. i can't name a single instance when china has done anything like that

no country is perfect. every country would do some stupid things from time to time. but most of the accusations made against china regarding this covid19 situation doesn't sound just
they reported the progress to WHO and west said they are hiding the numbers
they locked down whole cities and west said they are violating human freedom.
then reports came with hundreds of deaths per day and west started to say china got it all messed up.
then death count suddenly started to drop and west is again saying they are hiding the true death count.
none of these sound like valid criticisms against china. they almost sound like west likes to see chinese people die and they are dissatisfied when the numbers drop.
