So all of these current vaccines have reduced efficacy against the new variants. Hence the "Breakthrough" infections arise. However, the current vaccines are able to reduce the hospitalizations and the death rate.

We have to move onto Gen-2 or Gen-3 vaccines or an anti-viral drug. That's the only way out of this. Sadly this will take more time. Not before 2023.

Yes but the thing is, that was not how all these vaccines were touted when they came out. No refunds right? Pfizer, AZ etc worth got bigger by the billions (with government sanctioned immunity from law suits too I might add)

You can't sue the vaccine makers. They have indemnity. Only under these conditions they released the vaccine. AZ is non-profit.
To answer your question partly in the US the spike is because those unvaccinated. CDC claims this figure is close to 99%. In Israel there's a fair share of immuno-compromised people.

It's not a joke... AZ is now losing money from the Covid vaccine. The Govenments funded the University of Oxford to develop the vaccine. Things are not what it seems on the surface. Much complicated.

OTOH the Chinese made money... - and those who purchased these made money too.

What we need is an "Universal Covid Vaccine" that is variant proof.... I have posted details on the mechanism & the development of these. But these are on Phase I.
The current vaccine efficacy is quite unpredictable. Recent US studies show that many over 65 years old lose antibody levels much sooner than expected.

Yeah I have. Not just that, there are so many things that doesn't add up about this whole thing if you look closely. But I wouldn't recommend doing that because its better to live in the comfort of ignorance
