US dollar and US economy are strong. Everyone accepts that.

Note that
(1) majority of international transactions are done using dollar through SWIFT (messaging method)
(2) dollar is used as a reserve currency

if a country is cut off from SWIFT, you are done!

Trump and Biden both use this US economic power to influence other countries. So it is natural that other countries to protect their economy. So there are several movements including European Union, China, Russia and others to find alternatives of Dollar and SWIFT. They come up with different options. Due to this Ukraine war, the will for alternatives intensified.

There are alternatives to SWIFT already like SPFS (russia), CIPS (china), Instex (European Union) to bypass SWIFT and dollar for international transactions.

It may take years, but at the end, people will use different currencies for transactions without US influence or US dollar. Already majority of transactions between russia and china are done through different currencies. Many countries now prefer diversifying their currencies. But in the future US dollar will be still strong, but just another currency.
