Then govt will start attacking him. (Eg:- Jackson Anthony put a post. Next day a photo of his daughter and NR released. ) Govt will dig into his/her past and bring in old news and spread through govt media, Derana, Hiru, And he will be summoned to count for decade old petty thefts that he committed.

Just my thoughts.
But I think US, UK migrants don't like JVP. Mainly due to riots during 88.89.
And JVP is not even popular among Muslim and Tamil communities in Sri Lanka.
