There were many in this business during a particular time period. They earned by supply children mostly to Europeans. This particular one was in Wadduwa and somehow Lalith had some connection to the guy running it. I am not so sure about the details but think due to being a close relative.
I had a friend of mine doing the same thing. He had contacts with Switzerland & Sweden. I wasn't happy about what he was doing but his arguments were different.
Once I happened to see him at a particular hotel when we went for the buffet dinner. He was with a Swedish couple and after seeing me there came and sat with us. I had a chat with them, both of them were lecturers in Uppsala University and said and had medical records to show that they are unable to bear children. They had come to adopt a baby girl. So we had a nice chat while at dinner, they spoke good English. They left SL after adopting a baby girl, just a few months old.
Five years later, I met the same couple with the girl. They brought her in to introduce her to the natural mother. My friend said that they support the family in Srilanka and helped to build a small house. Much later on I met them once gain, this time the girl was about 15 years old. She calls mum & dad to the adopted parents, seemed to be quite happy.
So the question remains... Was her life made better because of being adopted? You decide for yourself.

Many say these children are adopted for body parts. Crap. The adoptions since 1993 are under a scheme known as "The Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption". There's a protocol to be followed with proper legal procedures. The country where the child ends up has a process to follow up these children till they are satisfied that the adopted parents do look after them responsibly.

PS: Another perspective is that how many unwanted babies end up being aborted? It's pathetic. Let them have a life elsewhere with unknown parents.

Your perspective seems like a pretty good one but mine says its not that good as seems . Yes it was kinda good thing for the both sides but in the other hand that might not the so called whole story ?

How could we make a trust with ppl who does human business ? I think in athulath mudali's case his relative was his wife dont really knw the truth .
Every good business has little or a bad side . Dont really knw the truth but Looks pretty terrible

    මේ ලේඩි කියන්නෙත් ඕක ගැනද or is this a more recent trend?

There's a human aspect to this, yes. Some kids may need this opportunity- kids who would have otherwise been destined to a horrible fate in SL. But decorum and rubric is everything. As long as it's not extra-judicial.

Ponna agamei sanskruthiyei waradda ban. Lin madiyanwa owa natuwa control karanna be. You like it or not fucking sangayyas are power hungry. They just keep control in a different way.

Bottom line is till we fix the above this country will remain to be the shit it is .
