Checkout some reviews guys. Google and Facebook. Ull know how they get their reviews done through staff. They ask their own staff to do surveys to get awards in the industry. Below is my personal experience I wish to share with this forum for anyone with commitments having to leave a FT job for contract. This is no personal attack at anyone. I have published this on Google as well as Facebook for others to be aware of and for them to know what they get into at a crisis like this post Covid and political instability. I worked for Gapstars for 1year and it was the WORST experience ever with the horrible HRBPs they have and the experience they gave post my resignation. They never take responsibility of their employees and are so careless in their job roles. They request their own Recruiters and Marketing team to publish Positive Google/ Facebook and Glassdoor reviews and GreatPlaceToWork to convince and cover their mistakes and look good in the IT industry in competence with the leading multinational companies. Only focused on reselling resources to their clients overseas for better hike. Once their clients discontinue projects due to Gapstars internal issues, they will immediately fire you. They do not mediate any communication between the client and employee.So you do not know if your contract is renewed or terminated. This happened to many past employees of Gapstars. Worst Recruitment and Operations of a company to come across. They do not even settle their contractual obligations after you resign. They will come up with one or the other policy update to get rid of your payment settlements. Their CEO or CFO are so irresponsible in their roles and has no understanding of Sri Lankan Labor Law or Regulations. Moreover, they do not settle their ETF claims for some resources in the company or provide payment receipts issued by ETF board. They say they have misplaced them. Can anyone think of a HR that says they have misplaced such important documents of an employee? There is no Head of Human Resources in this company take responsibility of HR function. Worst small scale IT Business in Sri Lanka. I am ashamed to even list Gapstars as an employer.

BA la PM la ne. project eke BA wadai PM wadei QA wadei serama karanna one SE la. contract nathuwa yanawa nan permanent position illala yamanla. naththan un terminate karanwa unge client project eka galopu gaman. unge recruitment wala mulin kiyana boru baila na anthimata ganne contract. un mulin kiyanne permanat kiyala umbalawa notice dammanakal current position ekata. eita passe offer eka awama thama badu packet wenne 1 year contract eka. man danna SE/SSE la keepa denek ta client galawila gihin badu packet una.

a wagema godak un mungen offers aran counter offers gananawa inna thanin.. a wadeta nan Gapstars patta ;)

    hmmmm... by the look of these messages in so many threads, Google and facebook even.. can clearly see that these all negative reviews and comments are somewhat intentional and doing by a single person or a team!!! The most intriguing part been that all these comments were posted around the same time.

    Also given that no company is perfect, maybe some scene had happened and this is how the affected party reacting!! Just a thought!!!!

Also, I called some people there and u know what they told?? No projects were terminated last year as well as this year!!

    They told that there were incidents like that they heard when Gapstars started the company long time back. But now it's all good and all!!

    Anyway for any company before you accepting the job offer, do a proper background check. And also ask whatever the questions beforehand as well!!!

    who did you call? because I personally know SE/Dev and Support people who were terminated from Cobo , Otrium and Stekz projects.. Stekz eke mulu team ekama giya client dissatisfied..STAR team ekama terminate kara..i think you are already from Gapstars HR or Recruitment..natthan mehema kade yanna hethuwak na ne bung..uda thiyana comment tika kiyopan anith un dala thiyana..oya hama ekaama awith kiyanne boruda oya company eka gana? aurudu gaanan thisse parana thread wala?

    It is not good as people commented on glassdoor and other places.

    I got an offer and asked one of my friends who used to work there, according to him,
    • most of the positions are contract basis
    • office experience depends on the client and most clients are not pleasant to work with
    • there is a lot of political drama going on and people got fired due to political reasons

    I thought Gapstars was one of the best companies in SL. Now, I'm fed up with finding good companies in SL.
