    Home sweet home ..
up. how to brush up the speaking part. I can manage up to a certain extent but the flow is not there.
Only practice, practice, and practice !!!!

Watch English movies with and without subtitles. You can talk to strangers using apps like "hallo". Watch mock tests, and practice with speaking simulations on youtube.

They gave access to the course only for 2 weeks machan
And the practise questions including essays had to be completed on their website itself.

    To answer your question, No.
IELTS is just an international standardized test of English language proficiency, NOT a degree or diploma.

how to prepare for ielts in one month? How should i start?

    @Aki992
I'm also going to take IELTS in a month. Even if I try my best, I can't say for sure whether I will be able to achieve the desired results.

I want to take you guys on this quest and help each other. That's why I started this thread in the first place.

First, you need a goal you need a target band to achieve. Therefore think about why you want to take IELTS in the first place. Do you want to go to work or to higher education? Hence you can choose academic IELTS or general test. Then research the expected IELTS bands for the companies or universities you want.

Then to understand your weaknesses and strengths, take a mock test. I prefer an official practical test or Cambridge paper books.
It's all about techniques and practice. Now you know your desired band and your weakness and strength in the English language.

Now practice .. practice and practice. Basically, do everything in English. Talk in English with friends, colleagues and yourself. Listen to podcasts, English songs and English radio channels, Chat in English, read English Newspapers watch English movies/ tv series, especially British ones like sherlock holmes, Watch IELTS Liz's youtube channel and refer her blog and also watch speaking mock tests, simulators. And for the writing part, we can post here and get feedback. For god's sake, if you can, think in English too.

This is what I am currently doing. I had to face so many obstacles. I got distracted several times though I managed to come back. Do your best, and no matter what mark you get, you won't regret it.

    Thank you, good question.
    Good Luck !

This is a great effort Bro ! Keep it up.... 👍

I also have an idea of migrating to UK. however, sill it has not been concluded. by the way, as time permits, I also intend to do IELTS--may be the 'Genaral IELTS' which would align with my requirement of applying PR.

As far as I could find, there are for tests such as : Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. does it mean we have to sit for those four papers separately in different time slots (or in four days)?

By the way what would be the most popular aid for practicing , would "IELTS-New Insight" help ?

    Cheers !

No classes or courses. I am a self-learner. In fact, there are no one-month classes for IELTS.

First of all, Thank you very much.

To answer your question, Whether you take computer-based or paper-based IELTS, you must take listening, reading and writing in one consecutive day. However, for the speaking module, you are able to choose the same or different date.

I'm sorry. I have no idea about "IELTS- New insight".

And good luck with your future endeavours.

when I took it in 2008 it was 16K :-(
Yes, actually, about a month ago, it was about 37k :(
