:dull:
:dull:

on the fact that you kept mentioning all the time about those 69 lakhs, I really thought you lived in Sri Lanka 😁
This is my sixth visit to NZ. I have a lot of friends around NZ, UK & the US. I had to visit Wellington and thought of touring around the South Island once again. Will fly out on the 2nd January. The last visit was more than a six years ago.

Nice, I did the same trip like a few months ago.
    What a spectacular drive.
Amy plans to visit Mt. Cook?
I have toured the entire South island and the North Island before. Yes... my wife wants to do some trek in Mt Cook. Today will do the Wanaka drive and then stay in Te-Anau. Tomorrow Milford Sound.

    Thanks @imhotep
Haven't been to Queenstown yet. Planning to have a trip before end of this summer.
(We'll be moving to Aus soon, so need to visit some places specially in south island)

NZ wala NZREX karanna kalin AMC/PLAB 1 wage ekak karanna ona neda? Similar pathway I think. AMC part 2 is harder than NZREX clinical.

North Island - drove up to Cape Rienga. My son was small then, between 4 to 5 years. He doesn't remember that anymore. (He's 21+ now)
We just arrived in Te-Anau. Drove to Manapouri. Beautiful weather. Water temperature very nice for a swim.
Never been here in a summer. The best time is early spring for the South Island.

Will travel early tomorrow to Milford Sound. Have a cruise booked at 10.30 AM from there.

I returned here after about 6 - 7 years. The grocery prices have gone up... only the Supermarket has changed name to CountDown :ROFLMAO:
Even the car rental prices are up. I booked a RAV4 but they gave me a Mazda CX-5 (only done about 25K) at a total cost of 1250 NZD with zero excess (my son drives now) for full six days in Quenstown and returning in Christchurch.
I have been renting from Apex for more than 15 years now but the prices were never this higher. Also it's a bad time (Christmas break);)

Countdown owns by the Woolworth Australia. It could be that it’s a new store of the same chain. Well, not just the grocery prices, basically prices of all goods and services have gone up. Try Pack and Save instead of Count Down, they are bit cheaper. Avoid “New World “.
I have used Apex quite often but some car rentals give great deals sometimes. Like 1$ per day relocation offers. There are some other ways to get discounts if you do some research.
try going to Remarkable mountain if you can. It’s about 20Km drive from Queenstown. A great drive up to the mountains with a superb view.
Pretty sure you haven’t missed the famous “Fergburger” at Queenstown.

Apex never had a relocation fee. we arrived in Christchurch now. Stayed in Lake Tekapo last night.
Took the scenic route via the Rakaia Gorge.. Took a one hour Jet Boat Tour. Fantastic.

Seems to be colder here in Christchurch. Went to Waikuku beach. Quite windy and sand blows into the eyes. So didn't stay for long.

I did a Jet Boat ride on the Shotover river at Queenstown. If you plan to stay in CHCH for a couple more days, try to visit Akaroa. Nothing fancy but a beautiful old french town. Summit road is better on the way back. The botanical garden of CHCH is also a great place. Make sure to take a loaf of bread to feed the ducks.
