So, a few days ago I said here that I haven’t bought a car for one and a half years…

And then I did it last Monday…

I was basically looking for an electric shooter to take my daughter to school and back. A 6 cylinder turbo is bit excessive for the school run twice a day.

Then this thing came up on FB market place last Monday, bought it a few hours later.. All for the price of a good electric shooter.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you nothing new, but an old/cheap little nugget..

A 2003 Daihatsu Sirion GTVi.! GTVi is the key here, the 1.3 little K3-VE2 is a cracking little engine. Good market for these little things here (easy to sell) because the engine and the spec of the car is well regarded.

I did it again.. Nothing new, but bought a 2006 Lancer from an auction yesterday...

This is not registered, so took it to an inspection for registration. Two issues found: leaking rear shock, play in inner tie-rods (front steering).

So tried taking the rear shock off. My God these things are so simple and basic to work on. 5 bolts and 3 socket sizes larer.... 😀 😀

Even from the boot it's very easy to remove side coverings and access..

    Nice!!

I wouldn't mind a nice little Cynos. It's called a Paseo over here. Not very common and the remaining are mostly hacked by young drivers and wannabes. 😞
Same here mate. Not a lot of Cynos cars here and most of them are hacked as well. Very rare to find a car in original condition like mine. Everything stock except for lowered coil springs and an HKS exhaust

Reckon you live in the US. I would love to drive a Pontiac Firebird one day 😍
