Scored another Japanese watch icon today guys.. Was not going to buy a GShock specifically, but was kinda disappointed about not finding a good deal on any other interesting watch, so had to buy something

This time bought a re-issue/look alike of the Original G-Shock, the DW5000C

This new model is GW-M5610U, with Tough Solar, Multiband Radio etc...

Original 1983 watches are on eBay for a couple of Dollars (not)

Congratulations on your purchase.... looks like your on fire in this month....1st a Grand Seiko and now a Gshock.

DW5000c the 1st Gshock. So it has become a big collectable one.
I am also a big fan of DW5000series case shape. So this GW-M5610U is very nice.but never heard about it.look like a improved reissue.

For the interested forks,There is a cheaper alternative also called CASIO DW5600E.
Local Casio agent has it in stock. Price also bit reasonable.

Thanks machan. Yeah, travelling in Japan so kept looking for some Japanese watches. Took advantage of tax free shopping as well (10% discount there but still something..)

I was actually going to buy the DW5600E, saw the GW-M5610U on the way to the counter to pay . This was exactly twice the price of DW5600E, bought mainly because it's Solar and the red line on the dial looked more like the original .

Multi band radio (the watch got it) is useless where I live anyway, I need to travel maybe 4000km to the edge of the country towards Japan or China to find a signal lol! Can try an emulator but..

Anyway, f91w and it's versions are still style icons in todays also.
the gold version A168WG is considering as the Ultimate flex watch.
On my opinion, If you have a dark brown skin, the gold A168WG will pop on the wrist better than a Rolex.
