Hi Folks! Today, while I was traveling home by train, a thought popped into my mind to build up an improvised English conversation that would help us brush up on our speaking and thinking in English. So, you are free to imagine yourself as any individual and say anything you want.

Machan, it seems like the Hikkaduwa train is running a little late today. Did they announce that the train would be late?:growl:

I didn't hear anything, when did they ever do that? Looks like we have to get the next train.
Oh, not today, please! I have a pile of work to do. Yesterday, the train wasn't on time either. I need to decide whether I should take the train or the bus next time. This is a waste of time man.. :sorry:

oh, finally it is coming but seems to be very crowded.
    (how to convey something like "ඇති යන්තම්.. දැනුයි ඇඟට ලේ ටිකක් ඉනුවේ " in English? :rolleyes2:)

Hikkaduwa train suffered a “mechanical problem” near the Maradana station today.
Yeah, bro, this really happened today. The day before yesterday.. the Aluthgama train also encountered a problem. so the Hikka train had to push the Aluthgama train from behind to Mount Lavinia. worst of all, they didn't even send another engine to pull it. :growl:

Of course dear, train delays can have a significant impact on people’s lives, including missed appointments, late arrivals at work or school, and increased stress levels.
