Indian Company Halts Israeli Police Uniform Production Over Ethical Concerns

Amid the military conflict in the Middle East, Indian textile company Maryan Apparel has temporarily suspended its contract for the supply of uniforms with the Israeli police. In a conversation with AFP, the company's managing director, Thomas Olikal, called the decision a moral one.

Maryan Apparel explained that they had to refuse supplies of uniforms after news of the shelling of the Al-Ahly hospital in the Gaza Strip. The textile company noted that it will not accept new orders from the Israeli authorities until “peace is restored.”
