Pennsylvania authorities said multiple voting locations had been targeted with noncredible bomb threats, and courts approved extended voting hours in at least two of those locations.
Gov. Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, said there were "multiple" bomb threats in Philadelphia, without giving a number.
A Philadelphia court approved one voting location's staying open 23 minutes past the scheduled cutoff time of 8 p.m. ET. The location, St. Maron's Church, briefly closed earlier in the evening, the Philadelphia City Commissioners, who oversee elections in the city,
said on X.
Voting hours were extended to 9 p.m. in Pennsylvania's Clearfield County, in the central part of the state, because of a bomb threat in the building where votes were being counted, a spokesperson for the Pennsylvania courts said.
