It took them 3 weeks after final interview to tell the results.

went interview at velaris. apart from 1 question I did really well. they even asked to solve 2 DSA questions. solved them.
I was really happy thinking ok interview went well I will get selected.

but what they told in the rejection email is your experience for this role is not enough.

I even asked after the interview did I give false answers to any of the questions. they told no.
so even if you did good on the interviews, it doesn't gurantee a job.

in SRE interviews they will mostly focus on monitoring/observerbility

I mean I'm not an expert on DSA. but little bit good with hashmaps. both questions were based on hashmaps.

this happened in the wiley.
they had a doubt like this. after the interview they contacted me once and asked if you got a bigger offer for an associate position what would you do.
I told I would stay with wiley.

but I think they were not satisfied.

When you are applying for an interview which has on different rounds, it doesn't guarantee a job in the private sector though you have arrived to the final stage. If it is government sector, you can sit into exams, and once you are through the the exam the position is guaranteed ( at most times).

But, when it come to private sector there are other areas the interviewers do check;

- Knowledge
- Skills
- Attitude

are three key areas they look at. In addition to that they will evaluate whether you are Job Fit, Culture Fit match before they conclude a selection. If someone think that the KSA is checked on first round or second round or checked only once, it is a wrong impression. It is a continuous process where the interviewer and the panel keep a track on.

So, do not get disappointed even though you are disqualified at the final interview. You can be happy that you made it to the final stage where as many others doesn't even get through to the second round.

Since you are applying for an internship, suggest its better try with some smaller scale companies where as they get only a limited number of internship applicants. Whilst you are proceeding with it, you can keep on tapping big players for a suitable opportunity.

Nevertheless, keep in mind that even the big players out source certain their projects to small players. Those are the areas where you can show your "colours" can build a demand.

You need to keep on trying.

අම්මට ලොකු position එකක් තියෙනවා.

දැන් කීප දෙනෙක්ව අදුරනවා. ඒත් එයාලගේ companies වල vacancy නෑ කියනවා.

හොදටම දන්න එක්කෙනෙක් හිටියා . mitra එකේ හිටපු department head කෙනෙක්.
එයාට කතා කරල කිවවම job application එකක් එව්වා.
ඒක ඉතින් මටත් කරන්න පුලුවන්නේ.

මගෙ වෙලාවෙ මොකක් හරි අවුලක් තියෙනවා කියලා හිතෙනවා.
