Even Indians don't buy Indian made Suzuki cars if they can afford Japanese version. I asked few Indian colleagues about this and they said even though look is identical, Indian version use thinner metal so body is not strong and interior panels are also low quality.
And some safety features are not available as well.

AFAIK Suzuki doesn't export CBU cars from Japan to India.

I asked few Indian colleagues about this and they said even though look is identical, Indian version use thinner metal so body is not strong and interior panels are also low quality.

Nah GNCAP crash tested indian made Nissan Magnite and it scored 4 stars out of 5 so "thinner metal and weak body" stuff is bull. You can read long term reviews on Magnite at Team bhp forums, haven't seen the owners complaining about interiors falling apart so
