To find out the most common engine oil grade used in SL of course

I was expecting to see more 0W20, but it seems like xW30 and up are still the norm, atleast in Sri Lanka

Using Castrol Edge 5W-40 Fully Synthetic. Can use 5W-30, but given ambient temps in our country, using 40 and to hell with Fuel consumption.. also Manufactures ask to use thinner oil just to keep the hyper milers happy at the cost of wear and tear..

I think so too, besides hypermiling better fuel efficiency translates to lower carbon emissions thus aiding in meeting environmental regulations and fitting into lower tax brackets

Manufacturers don't give a f as long as the car survives the warranty period
