According to The Times of India, moments before the Boeing Dreamliner crashed into the BJ Medical College hostel in Ahmedabad, the pilot made a distress call: "Thrust not achieved… falling… Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!"

The Ahmedabad police confirmed that this was the last message received from the cockpit before the aircraft lost contact.

Le Bourget, France: The Paris Air Shown was supposed to be another step, however small, in Boeing’s way back from six years from crisis after crisis, safety and quality concerns, criminal investigations, Congressional hearings and existential threats following two fatal crashes of the 737 MAX and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Boeing wasn’t bringing any MAXes, 777X or 787s to the air show. There would be no awe-inspiring flight displays. The cost wasn’t worth it given Boeing’s billions of dollars in losses in recent years.

1978 ජනවාරි 1 වැනි දින මුම්බායි (එවකට බොම්බේ) වෙරළට ඔබ්බෙන් වූ අරාබි මුහුදේදී මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. Air India ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් Boeing 747 (VT-EBD) යානය ගුවන් ගත වූ විගස උපකරණ දෝෂයක් සහ නියමුවාට දිශාව පටලැවීම හේතුවෙන් මුහුදට කඩා වැටුණි. මෙම අනතුරින් යානයේ සිටි සියලු දෙනා ඇතුළුව 213 දෙනෙක් ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වූහ.

02 - 1988 Indian Airlines Flight 113 අනතුර

1988 ඔක්තෝබර් 19 වන දින අහමදාබාද් හි සර්දාර් වල්ලභ්භායි පටෙල් ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන් තොටුපළ (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport) අසලදී මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. Indian Airlines ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් Boeing 737-200 (VT-EAH) යානය අඩු දෘශ්‍යතාව යටතේ ගොඩබසින අවස්ථාවේදී නියමු දෝෂයක් සහ ගුවන් ගමන් පාලන මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ දෝෂ හේතුවෙන් බිමට කඩා වැටුණි. යානයේ සිටි 135 දෙනෙකුගෙන් 133 දෙනෙක් මියගිය අතර, දෙදෙනෙකු පමණක් දිවි ගලවා ගත්හ.

1993 අප්‍රේල් 26 වන දින මහාරාෂ්ට්‍ර ප්‍රාන්තයේ ඖරංගාබාද් (Aurangabad) හිදී මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. Indian Airlines ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් යානයක් ගුවන් ගත වන අවස්ථාවේ ධාවන පථයේ තිබූ ට්‍රක් රථයක ගැටීමෙන් මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. නියමු දෝෂයක් මෙන්ම ගුවන් තොටුපළ ආරක්ෂක ක්‍රියා පටිපාටිවල දුර්වලතා ද මෙයට හේතු විය. මෙම අනතුරින් 55 දෙනෙක් ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වූහ.

04 -1996 චර්කි දද්‍රි ගුවන් අනතුර (Charkhi Dadri Mid-air Collision)

1996 නොවැම්බර් 12 වන දින හරියානා ප්‍රාන්තයේ, චර්කි දද්‍රි අසලදී ගුවන් යානා දෙකක් එකිනෙක ගැටීමෙන් මෙම දරුණුතම අනතුර සිදුවිය. සෞදි අරාබියානු ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් Boeing 747 (Flight 763) යානයක් සහ කසකස්තාන ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් Ilyushin Il-76 (Flight 1907) යානයක් මෙලෙස ගැටී ඇත. කසකස්තාන ගුවන් යානයේ නියමුවා ගුවන් ගමන් පාලන මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ උපදෙස් වැරදි ලෙස වටහාගෙන, නියමිත උසට වඩා පහතින් ගමන් කිරීම නිසා මෙම ගැටුම සිදුවිය. මෙය ලෝකයේ සිදුවූ දරුණුතම ගුවන් අනතුරක් වන අතර, යානා දෙකෙහිම සිටි සියලු දෙනා ඇතුළුව 349 දෙනෙක් ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වූහ.

2000 ජූලි 17 වන දින බිහාර් ප්‍රාන්තයේ පට්නා (Patna) හිදී මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. Alliance Air ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් යානයක් නියමුවාට පාලනය කර ගැනීමට නොහැකිව ජනාකීර්ණ ප්‍රදේශයකට කඩා වැටුණි. යානයේ සිටි 55 දෙනාට අමතරව බිම සිටි 5 දෙනෙක් ද ඇතුළුව ජීවිත හානි සිදුවිය.

06 - 2010 මංගලෝර් ගුවන් අනතුර (Mangalore Air India Express 812)

2010 මැයි 22 වන දින මංගලෝර් ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන් තොටුපළේදී (Mangalore International Airport) මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. Air India Express ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් Boeing 737-800 යානය ගුවන් තොටුපළේ කඳු මුදුනක වූ ධාවන පථයෙන් (tabletop runway) ලිස්සා ගොස් ගැඹුරු මිටියාවතකට වැටී ගිනි ගත්තේය. නියමු තෙහෙට්ටුව සහ අභියෝගාත්මක භූ විෂමතාවය ද මෙයට හේතු විය. 166 දෙනෙකුගෙන් 158 දෙනෙක් මියගිය අතර, 8 දෙනෙක් දිවි ගලවා ගත්හ.

07 2020 කොසිකෝඩ් ගුවන් අනතුර (Air India Express Flight IX-1344)

2020 අගෝස්තු 7 වන දින කේරළයේ කොසිකෝඩ් (Kozhikode) හි කැලිකට් ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන් තොටුපළේදී (Calicut International Airport) මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. Air India Express ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් Boeing 737-800 යානයක් තද වැසි සහිත කාලගුණයක් තුළ ධාවන පථය ලිස්සා යාමෙන් අඩි 30ක පමණ මිටියාවතකට වැටී කොටස් දෙකකට කැඩී ගියේය. මෙම අනතුරින් 190 දෙනෙකුගෙන් 21 දෙනෙක් (නියමුවන් දෙදෙනා ද ඇතුළුව) ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වූහ.

08 - 2025 අහමදාබාද් ගුවන් අනතුර (Air India Flight 171)

2025 ජූනි 12 වන දින අහමදාබාද්, ගුජරාට් හි ගුවන් තොටුපළ ආසන්නයේ ඇති වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලීය නේවාසිකාගාරයකට යානය කඩා වැටීමෙන් මෙම අනතුර සිදුවිය. Air India ගුවන් සේවයට අයත් Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (VT-ANB) යානයක් මෙලෙස අනතුරට ලක්විය. ගුවන් ගත වූ විගස යානයට උස පවත්වා ගැනීමට නොහැකි වීම අනතුරට හේතුව ලෙස සැලකේ. යානයේ සිටි 242 දෙනෙකුගෙන් 241 දෙනෙක් සහ බිම සිටි කිහිප දෙනෙක් මෙම අනතුරින් ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වූහ. අනතුරට හේතුව පිළිබඳව මේ වන විට පරීක්ෂණ සිදුවෙමින් පවතී.
