This is good as you are in touch with a GP on a daily basis.

Try to walk at least for 30 minutes. Stay hydrated while exercising.

Try to control your BP by lifestyle modification. Dependence on meds will have side effects in the long term.
Sure. My intention is to stop medication ASAP and get the situation under control through the improvements in lifestyle. I suspect I may have sugar as well.

What's your daily life style like?

Maybe someone is triggering your emotions..

When we were born we didn't have high blood pressure. When we were finishing school, most of us didn't have the same, cuz we chilled.

In one of my former office spaces, in my twenties, I could overlook the NYC skyline and Hudson River with cruise ships passing by and the statue of Liberty - never knew what blood pressure is back then..

Think of high BP as an overinflated tyre - at normal BP our body supposed to have about 14 PSI. A car's tyres would have around 32 PSIs.

When your BP is up, you need to realise how dangerous that is with blood flowing fast, making you tremble - a heart attack or a stroke can happen. Not sure what's your cause but in mine, it's the fight/ flight response, with body wanting action

Set healthy boundaries with everyone, take over the control of your life and lead a balanced work/ life - eg go home at sharp 5 PM and switch off the work phone

    • Avoid alcohol/Stop smoking (most important)
    • Avoid oily and high-carb foods
    • Avoid fried rice, koththu and other takeaway foods
    • Reduce salt intake
    • Walk for 30–45 minutes, 3–4 times a week
    • Lose weight to reach or stay close to your BMI
    • Get enough sleep – At least 7–8 hours per night.
    • Cut down on caffeine - too much coffee or energy drinks are not good
Do this, and your blood pressure will return to normal with 4-6 weeks
