උදාහරණයක්

1) EK flight එකක් කටුනායක එනවා, ATC weather දෙනවා, weather අවුල්.
2) Pilot decide කරනවා ඉඳල බලන්න, ATC ගෙන් holding pattern එකක් ඉල්ලා ගන්නවා
3) හිටියට තේරුමක් නෑ වගේ, flight plan එකේ තියන divert කරන්න සුදුසු airport බලනවා, dubai ඉන්න උන්ගේ dispatcher හරහා ඒ airport වල තත්වේ දැන ගන්නවා අදාල airport වලට කතා කරලා possible diversion එක ගැන උන් දැනුවත් කරනවා.
4) අදාල airport වල තත්වේ, operational reasons, උන්ට මේ flight එක accept කරන්න පුලුවන්ද වගේ දේවල් සලකා බලල PIC decide කරනවා කොයි airport එකට යන්නේ කියල. CMB ATC ට මෙතන කිසිම තීරණයක් ගන්න නෑ. EK dispatcher input එකෙක් දෙනවා හැබැයි ඌට decide කරන්නත් බෑ
5) Flight එක divert කරනවා

දැන් මේකේ උඹට තේරෙන්න ඕනේ ATCට "බලයක්" නෑ කියල divert කරන්න.

මත්තල නොයන්න ලොකුම හේතුව operational reasons. operational reasons කියන්නේ බාන්න පුලුවන්ද නැද්ද කියන එක නෙවෙයි ඊට පස්සේ මොකද කරන්නේ කියන එක. passenger accommodation දෙන්නේ කොහෙද? Flight crew එකේ hours ඉවර නම් replacement crew එකක් එවන්නේ කොහොමද? aircraft එක reposition කරන්නේ කොහොමද? passengers ලා re-book කරන්නේ කොහොමද වගේ ප්‍රශ්න.

Airline එකකට දැනටත් scheduled flights තියන ඉන්දියාවේ airport එකකට divert කරන එක ලේසි උන් fly නොකරන මත්තලට යනවට වඩා.
