Sony drops a PS5 price hike and our local sellers decided to double it

Was planning to grab a PS5 Slim. Price was 178k. Then out of stock for 1day and now everywhere. Now it's back at 230k+ Even used ones are hard to find. New ones jumped before stocks even hit stores .I get it Sony officially hiked the price from $550 to $650 That's about 205k LKR Fine But our local sellers? They're asking 230k+ That's an extra 25k on top of the official hike What ticks me off? This is OLD stock They already bought it cheap But because Sony hiked the price they're marking it up anyway Extra cash in their pockets.

If it was new stock fine But this? Pure greed...!

Fair point Free market is free market And yeah maybe I'd do the same if roles were reversed Still doesn't mean I have to like paying 50k extra for old stock Not panicking. Just calling it out..!

Buy a used one. PS5 is reaching the end of its lifecycle. Speculation on PS6 is already on table. Then buy a PS6 when the price settles down after about a year.

I bought the PS5 just because of it's exclusives such as Ghost of Tsushima and Uncharted. Otherwise X Box is great for me with its superb backward compatibility. You can even play some golden old hits such as COD BO 1 &2, COD original Modern Warfare series, COD World at War even with the latest gen X Box. So if you can find an Xbox and not a fan of Sony exclusive games, consider going for it.

Not just Luxury X machan Every place has raised price Mobiles, laptops, gadgets… half the sellers have hiked prices 10-20% easily They're increasing old stock new stock hasn't even arrived.

TBH , PS5 වගේ 4 ගුණයක් ගෙවළ උනත් කමක් නෑ හොද PC එකක් හදාගන්න එක වටිනව PS5 වළ Joystick වලින් ඔට්ටු වෙනවට වඩා. PS5 හොදයි Elden Ring, Black Myth Wukong වගෙ ඒවට. Joystick කියන්නෙ Shooters වලටනම් ජරාවක්
