There are attractive rupas, shabdas, etc...

ONCE the clinging is done, mara you are dead...

does he say he did something to rupas? rupa dead?

he clearly says; ONCE clinging is dead Mara is dead..

Mara is dead is not the issue,you said rupa is not an issue ,here buddha says mara is the rupa then.

Pancha upadanaskanda mara. Adagannawu means upadanaskanda not attractive

රූප is the state of "arising" - පඨවි ආපෝ තේජෝ වායෝ manifesting as a "thing" - it's deceiving lay people and create තණ්හා - උපාදාන - ඇලීම් ගැටීම්.

රූප කියන්නේ රුප්පන ස්වාභාවය කෙටි කරලා පාලි වලින්.

Agree, mara is in Rupa marthraye... Rupa is his landing zone.. it doesnt say rupa itself is Mara\

if rupa itself is mara..according to Manasa sutta...rupas/shabdas should be dead after arihat

after arihat, rupa/shada are not dead...but wont be a landing zone for mara so mara is dead not rupas

Mara is just metaphorical personification of samsara IMO

rupa - maras bait
vedana - time the fish notice the bait
keles - maras army/weapon (klesha mara sena)
tanha - pulling the hook
upadana - fish caught
bhava - dragged in to Maras net/container (samsara)

dont go after words one by one..this is an example..get the idea..

rupaya itself is not mara.. mara is using rupaya as the bait to catch the fish.. so nothing wrong calling the bait/rupa as mara...but it is not mara

I think You are reffering klesha mara right?im taking about the upadanaskada mara,rupam ko mara radho.rupaya itself considered to be maraya.rupen hambenne nethi ekai marayagen gelawima.

I don’t agree with your interpretation .but it’s ok.i see it differently.i cannot separate updana rupaya as not maraya itself.but lets peace at that

Yeah this is regarding manas i guess referring to raga klesha mara,not upadanaskanda mara.rupayak hambenawanan issue ekak tiyenawa neda.bait ekak hambenawanan.rupeynma hambenne nethi wenne nane. Attactive rupa means updanaskands here not like getting attracted to exisiting rupa.its my view.
