Kal yanawa kiyannema munta wadak karaganna baa kiyana eka.. thats not an excuse.. for the record we developed the eRevenue licensing system and did the maintenace along with ICTA way back.. doing things manually at this day and time is ultra stupid and inability of responsible government agencies..

Regarding Point No. 1, why the hell should the person have to produce a TIN validation document in the first place? Can't this be handled through an existing verification mechanism, just like insurance and emission test validation? All the IRD needs to do is expose the TIN verification service through an Web service and let the relevant government departments validate it directly. That's it! Why make citizens run around collecting yet another pointless document when a simple system to system integration would solve the problem? This is just ridiculous and unnecessarily stupid..

eRevenue licensing system is a B2B system. You can train the staff do something.
But if you wanna involve common public, thats way more difficult.

If you talk to older people, they still want cash in hand(Just go to govt atms and see how many people line up to withdraw cash). Yes, 40s and below crowd are much more confident working with cards.

QR transactions is also coming. But I saw posts against QR payment even here in EK .

Forget systems. Only in Fort, Ragama and few main railway stations have real time updating electronic time tables. Other stations just announce it.
They get the updated information. They just have to display it in a dashboard.
