How does Dialog Wimax QOS work

My friends who got the Dialog WIMAX connection initially had a clause about Quality of Service which was based on download volumes.

However yesterday i heard from a Dialog official that they do not apply and limitations based on download voluments on the WIMAX connections, except for very very exceptional cases.

:nerd:Users of Dialog WIMAX (home packages), can you please educate on your experiences on how QOS rules has impacted you, if at all?

For instance is if i was to say download 2GB each day, would their be any bandwidth limitations imposed as it happens on the 3G connections, or are you not limited?

Does Dialog contact you and alert you that you are hogging the connection?

Seeking your views to see if Dialog WIMAX is viable alternative to SLT ADSL, which to my knowledge is mostly popular due to the unlimited nature of the connection, and supposedly better levels of overall speeds.

most of the packages come wid the limit.. but for the unlimited packages its not the FUP but download capacity is motinored cos high capaciy downloads has to be reported.. so on excepional cased they limit the speed after some time..

i don't think they apply FUP upto now..but even without FUP still the connection is very slow ...

A small query, when you mean slow, assuming you are using a 512K, what is the average download speeds for a single thread download (using maybe the browser downloader than a download accelerator).

:baffled:On a different topic, do you have problems when downloading from a rapidshare, etc that it says that your IP is downloading another file? I noticed this at a friend's place, and i do know that on a mobile network the IP sharing happens at a station level, but was what i faced a freaky situation or something that is common?
