Yep, especially I don’t see how tuition can help much for the listening and reading sections. You might be able to get some help for the writing section though.. but still, if you get some good practice test books they have instructions on how to tackle those questions too. Here are some sample essays in different score bands, you can get an idea of what they expect. you can find many other sites like that on the internet... I practiced for it like three weeks and got through ...
For me the hard part was writing, because I’m so used to writing on the PC. Its very difficult for me to structure an essay on paper, because usually I do a lot of editing when I write. then there is spelling...
Speaking part is pretty straightforward, the examiner will ask some basic questions to begin with, like what you do, what is your background etc.. then you will be asked to speak on a general topic for a couple of minutes and at the end you will be asked few more questions on that same topic.. It takes like 10~15 mins.

If you can buy this books or you can practice at BC(British council).I think there is no need for a tuture if you got the rythem right,I did the same.Books are bit expensive but u can borrow it from BC library.You can buy those books from BC book shop or any other leading books shops around.
