I am gettin an iphone 3gS from America? Will it work here in S.L.?

yes u can. i ulocked mine from Queen's mobile (not sure abt the exact name) right infront of Majestic City Bambalapitiya. its on the landside or galle road, they will charge u abt 2000/=. but everything works, except u can't update ur phone using itunes. coz it'll install new firmware which will block the sim again. hope this helps..
