anika sanath ganakatha karala wadak na

talking about sanath, i still have no hesitation him being there in the team. openers are there to hit the ball around. on the course they may score or they may fall cheaply, that's the nature of that position. it is upto others to build the innings if the openers fail to do so. sanath still seems to be good at his reflexes and stamina. some may say it's time to give a chance to a youngster. good, but it should be a person as good as or better than sanath. coz a position in the national team should be earned rather awarded. if sanath is fit and upto his work i don't mind him playing at 50 unless there is talent to match him.

i just read some column written by jonty rodes on how special the sri lankan cricket is and what makes it unique. rightly as he says it is the two legends, sanath and murali. and he sees it so special of sanath's contribution to the team work and moral of the team at that age.

so if there is anything left in sanath we should squeese and make use of it. a player of that caliber won't found for decades.
