can you imagine how many people died in a 30 years long war?

it could have ended at the moment it was started,

but it grew up under cheaters and weak people who were unable to deal with that....

its all over now. even most of my tamil friends are having positive ideas about the current situation.

Im maybe one of the happiest people that there is no fight anymore! But the way it was done, i got my questions! I hate people getting killed, and people are talking that war is good, when they don't know what it is like, because they are sitting safely at home? Not only our dear soldiers died, we keep forgetting, also random people in the war zone, who don't want to do anything with tamils tigers, and also bombin victims!
Correct me if im wrong, but hardly anyone sees the pain of the living victims! All they care is about the ending, if you want war, take the responsibility to take care of the victims. The people in the camps, can't have their lives back, they are stucked, don't have much water etc.
I'm glad there are not many more people dying, but there are still!
Im just annoyed of the fact that people think its over now, coz the tigers are gone! But the problem don't fade away, people are dissatisfied, we have to look at that, otherwise its only time before a conflict can start, if you get what im sayin

I've seen them talk, god damn, its too heart breaking!

Funny to see, even in the forum, first everyone was soo about the war & ending and stuff, no one is there to talk about the consequences, and about the direct victims in the region? Do people care or is ending of war the only thing that was important?

it will take some time IDPS to re settle, how many members of "mahawidu Families" in IDP camps ? more than 50% of those IDP's supported LTTE,

When LTTE was in its peak how many bombs blasting in Colombo ? how many innocent civilians in Colombo lost their life ? now suddenly people shouting and begging about these IDP's im wondering where the hell those people when LTTE blasting bombs in every single part in CMB

Once Prabakaran Said "Sinhalese forget so soon" this comes to my mind after thinking abt the war in the past, its scares me when thinking what our beloved oppression leader did to the LRRP unit was established in Millennium city

Yeah but you seem to care only about the victims in colombo, not only people in colombo are humans, also in the rest in sl.

have you ever seen any scene related to bomb blastings in the middle of the colombo city?

they are making them to blast on times where the streets are getting crowded, like around 5pm, when people working in office are returning to their homes, or around the school time...

I have been so much worried cos my family members were working in the colombo city... i was always getting a shock when ever i see the "breaking news" banner in the sirasa tv. I feel like now its over.. we are safe here.. thats a priceless situation for me.

tamil tigers were rushing into new vialges in the border and, killing all villages by cutting and shooting and chopping their heads off... now its over... can you imagine who scared they could have been? village people in the border, where the national army doesnt have control but the battle is going on?

the killing years are over. and getting killed seems to be over as well.... of course we should think about people living under less facilities and poor conditions in the war existed areas... but now we all have a firm foundation to grow up.. everyone has their rights.. no more killers... people just cant be satisfied...

my point is IDP resettlement will take some time, i do care about CMB people because they are not bladdy terrorists, unlike majority of the people In IDP camps,

In your answers, I see that you only see the victims of those bloody tigers, and not that there were victims of some other side! In the war days not only huge amounts of people were killed in bombings in colombo, also thousands a time...innocent ones.
Only thinking of the percentage people who still dont have peace is not enough! We are soo good in only thinking, that not even. Gov is now only thinking about Elections, getting loans from abroad and own sl people, to build huge castles and getting ready for elections. Wonder who is falling for that, ministers going for openings when a village got lights (basic stuff right), they bettter get their ass working on the consequences of war, all are publicity stunts to show how good they are and get votes!

you missed a point there, don't mix war and economy, MR did the war perfectly but fuck*d the economy and there is no way he can develope the economy in the future, he and his henchmen earn, build castles etc, but we were chatting abt the war/ peace, not the economy
