At least seven persons were taken into custody after police busted a local pornographic racket in the Kahatuduwa area yesterday.
A pornographic creation featuring a 16 year-old local girl in an intimate position with her teenage lover was later copied on to CDs and sold into the open market.
On segment was also fed into the Internet, police said.
Those arrested included the victim’s lover who had allegedly filmed the vivid scenes with a mobile camera phone.
At least six camera phones, a VCD player and a computer used in the production of the pornographic material was also seized by police.
The gang was arrested after the victim had complained to the local police.
Police added that they were also look out for several other persons Allegedly oinvoved in the racket.
Kahatuduwa police are conduction further investigations.
