friends, Do u knw a method to use one modem for two PC's which are near by.

Me and My sister want to use internet....but hv only one modem.

can we share this modem to surf internet.. how can we do that?

as i know modems cant use for two PCs..u may have to buy a 4 port router for that..it will cost 6500/=

ur tlkin abt an ADSL modem ryt? if u hv connected it to ur PC usin da usb port.. u cn share ur intrnet cnnction through the ethernet port.. if both r using, speed wil b shared.. i dnt da way of doin bt u cn bt if u hv cnncted it to the NW card, i guess u'll hv to use two NW cards

yes u r right friend, the prob is that i cant find a ethernet port on my system unit.. is it coming as another card or somethind...

Use cross cable between 2 PC's

Machan your 2 pc's must hav Network Cards (LAN Cards / RJ 45 connections).

Then Use Cross Cable (Network) between then. It will cost abt Rs. 50/=

Type "How to make cross cable" in google and u get more solutions.
